A wedding is a special and beautiful event in the life of a couple, and I love to share that special blessing with others. The Sacrament of Marriage solemnised by a priest is quite a different experience to a civil ceremony and celebrant so it’s a good idea to get your head around that before going too far.
The first step in celebrating marriage.
Before you book anything, a couple considering marriage in our sacred space needs to come and have a chat with me.
We will have a think about what a church wedding involves, why you would like God to be part of your special day, if you feel I am the right person to celebrate the beautiful sacrament of marriage with you and what preparation is involved so you both can make a decision if that’s the path you’d like to go down.
Once you’ve thought about that we then have a look at when I am available… you are actually booking me or your priest rather than the church … it’s a good idea to check all that out before you book reception venues and caterers etc. Many a couple has been disappointed they can’t go forward with a church wedding when they’ve done this the wrong way round!
I’d be chuffed to have a chat with couples considering a wedding in St John’s… it’s best to do this as soon as possible so you can start that thinking process… you can fill in the enquiry form below, give me a call on 0447 409 188 or send an email.
May you have a deep sense of God’s love surrounding you as you consider this most profound step in your life together.
