These FAQ’s are always being developed as the needs and direction of our church grows.  We look for every opportunity to encourage a holistic development of our community and welcome any feedback you wish to offer.

Is creche or childcare available?

We provide creche (infants through two-year-olds) for all Sunday morning services. Creche is available after the children’s talk at the 9am service.  It is located in the Maheno Room in the Bulimba Anglican Center adjacent to the church building.

Where do I enroll my children in Children’s Church? What time is Children’s Church?

St John the Baptist’s Children’s Church program is held each sunday from 9:10am during the regular sunday service.  If you’d like more information, please refer to the section for young people.

What are the youth programs like?

Please visit the young people’s section to see what ministry we have available for your children. Our community attempts to minister to young people from toddlers to young adults.  Please feel free to email office@stjohnsbulimba.org or call 3399 1508 with any questions you might have.

What about adult Christian Discipleship?

Please visit the adults section to see the ways in which we engage with adults within St John the Baptist.  This area is an evergrowing and takes its direction from those who seek to gain a greater understanding of their faith through social and spiritual interaction within the community.  If you wish to speak to someone directly about this, please contact Reverend John Milburn at the church office on 3399 1508.

How do I become a member at St John the Baptist? How do I transfer my records?

If you are coming to us from an Anglican background, you can call Sue on 3399 1508 and ask her to contact your previous church to transfer your membership. If you come from a tradition other than Anglican, Catholic, or Orthodox, we request that you speak to Reverend John Milburn about attending our Confirmation classes.

I used to sing in the choir/play a musical instrument, but I’m not a trained or professional. Could I be involved in the music team here?

We would love to have you be involved in our music team here at St John the Baptist.  There is a growing choir at the 9am and all are welcome to come along and join in.

How do I get involved at St John the Baptist?

St John the Baptist encourages you to complete a pew card during church and a member of the Welcomers Committee will contact you and take you under his/her wing. The committee member will be available to answer any questions you might have and help you find your niche at St John the Baptist.

You might have noticed that members of St John the Baptist wear name tags; a form is available in the back of the church for you and your family. Feel free to fill in your name and we will order you a name tag.  Cost for name tags are $10.

Could I speak with a priest?

Absolutely. We invite you to call the church office at 3399 1508 to make an appointment with Reverend John Milburn.
