Choosing St John The Baptist Anglican Church for your wedding makes for a romantic and historic setting. The Church offers ceremony and reception packages and a range of additional options to enhance your special day. The church can comfortably seat 130 people and offers lovely acoustics.

Weddings can be held on any day though weekends are the most popular. It is best to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Following your wedding, the Maheno Room provides an ideal venue for after ceremony drinks and canapés, or even a cake-cutting ceremony. For smaller numbers (up to 80), the room can cater for a sit-down reception and comes complete with modern commercial kitchen facilities.

St-John's2Things to consider:

Order of Service
St John The Baptist Anglican Church can provide you with a selection of wedding ceremony order of service templates. An example can be downloaded by clicking here. Many couples choose to personalise their service and add their own readings, music and other personal touches in a printed order of service for the day. (Note: The Church does not print order of services booklets for your guests.)

Should you wish to have music options, this can be discussed with the Rector. For example you may choose the organ, orchestral options, a guitarist or even a bagpipe.

Notice of Intent to Marry
You must download the official government Notice of Intent to Marry form and send this to the Reverend as part of your application. It can be found here.
